Dr. Audrey Sherman is a licensed Psychologist, Coach, and author of the popular book, Dysfunction Interrupted-How to Quickly Overcome Depression, Anxiety and Anger Starting Now. She has served as director of a residential unit for adolescents at a private psychiatric hospital in South Carolina, taught as an associate professor through Clemson University and practiced in a multi-disciplinary clinic before building two private practices of her own. She is also Founder and CEO of PsychSkills Consulting Group, providing assessments, coaching and consulting services to corporations worldwide.

In addition to supporting many local charities, Dr. Sherman co-chaired the annual Storybook Ball fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida for many years. She loves to travel and has been to more than 20 countries.

    Fun Facts about Dr. Sherman

The best memory of my world travels: A sunrise balloon ride over the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya where I could see the wildlife from the air for miles. It was followed by a champagne breakfast on the plain when we landed.

I have more than 200 cookbooks of all types of foods and try to never cook the same thing twice unless it’s really great. My favorite food is Indian.

I’ve written a children’s book. I love the toy industry because toys make children happy. My favorite toys were the Jane and Johnny West dolls with horses.

In Scotland, where I play golf once a year (but not very well), the caddies draw straws behind my back to see who gets me.

I’ve named pets after central characters in books by my favorite authors: Amos Wingo, a lab chow mix, from The Prince of Tides by the late Pat Conroy, and Egg, a cat, from John Irving’s The Hotel New Hampshire.
